Competition information
  • All dancers must present a valid ScotDance USA dance card in order to compete.
  • Pre-premier and Premier start times will be decided upon the closing of entries. We may have all the dancers start at the same time due to numbers.
  • Platform schedules will be sent out the Thursday before the competition.
  • Male and female change rooms will be provided. Please email, or let any board member, know if you will need a family change room, or other accommodations.
  • Perpetual trophies will be awarded again this season. We will require parent/guardian signatures for these trophies prior to trophies being taken off stage.
  • We will follow all local/state Covid guidelines. At this time there are no restrictions or masking rules in place.
Membership guidelines and instructions

  • All dancers must have SHDA Membership paid in full before they will be allowed to dance at any SHDA sponsored competition. Memberships can be purchased with the dancer registration.

  • Membership Guidelines: A Parent/Guardian applies as the member if the dancer is under 18. The Dancer will apply as a member if 18 years of age or older and does not live with the Parent/Guardian. A family membership includes those residing in the same household, including college students. A single point of contact represents the “family” and will be contacted for all updates relevant to their membership.

  • Membership Fees: Membership fees are paid annually for the dance year. Members may join at any time during the dance year. The annual fee is $50 for all individuals/families. Spring only registrations have a discounted membership fee.

  • SHDA receives no outside funding. We are self-supporting through our membership and dance registration fees. Please be sure to pay the correct amount. If you are not sure how much to pay, please contact an SHDA Board member.

  • Member only registration forms can be found on our website for non-competing individuals who would like to join the association.

Volunteering

  • Volunteer Guidelines: SHDA is an all volunteer organization and would appreciate each member volunteering at least once during the season. Volunteer forms must be included with registration.
