FRAN MCGREGOR HOLLUM MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship Purpose:
The PNW Clan Gregor’s Fran McGregor Hollum Memorial Scholarship Fund was
designed to help sponsor and/or assist young persons with pursuing an education or training in
Scottish/Celtic arts, music, history, language, or similar endeavors related to learning and
enhancing Scottish culture.
Objectives:
The Program provides financial assistance to students to help offset the cost of
education and training.
Eligibility:
Applicants for a Scholarship must meet and comply with the following criteria.
1. Be between the ages of twelve (12) and twenty-one (21) at the time they submit their
application. The Applicant shall reside within the Clan Gregor’s geographic area of
coverage which includes the States of Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska.
The Clan Gregor Scholarship Committee may allow exceptions to these criteria on a
case-by-case basis.
2. Have demonstrated their interest in the area they are requesting support with through
previous training, lessons, and/or participation in that particular endeavor.
3. Complete this Application form in its entirety.
Application Process: Complete the attached Application in its entirety and attach two reference
letters from instructors, trainers, or other persons with knowledge of the applicants continued
interest in the area the applicant is applying for assistance. At least one of the references must
be from an instructor or trainer. The reference letter must be handwritten or typed and
signed. The references must include their contact information, including phone numbers, so
that the Scholarship Committee may contact them.
